Mr. Dorn Wenninger, Ex-Executive of Walmart and Senior VP of Produce of UNFI, America’s largest food wholesaler is joining the advisory board of replantin’
replantin’ has announced today that Mr. Dorn Wenninger, Ex-Executive of Walmart and Senior Vice President of Produce for UNFI, America’s largest food wholesaler, is joining the advisory board of the Company.
Mr. Dorn Wenninger has spent over 30 years working with the world’s leading produce industry growers/shippers as well as leading produce for global retailers. He’s a well-respected industry leader, and served on multiple boards, to include the inaugural board of the International Fresh Produce Association. Dorn brings a global perspective to agriculture, having visited farmers and retailers in over 100 countries, and more than 19 years of his career living in Latin America, Asia and Europe.
Most recently Dorn served as Sr VP of Produce for UNFI, America’s largest food wholesaler (NYSE: UNFI) where he led a team that bought and sold billions of dollars in produce servicing thousands of independent retailers. For 11 years Dorn was the senior lead of Produce for Walmart: 4 years as head of Produce for Walmart USA, 2 years building and leading Walmart’s Global Produce Sourcing team, and 5 years leading all of Fresh for Walmart Mexico’s 2,500 retail stores.
In the first half of his career, Dorn worked with 2 major international produce suppliers: Chiquita Bananas and Driscoll’s Berries. Dorn led the European business for Driscoll’s working with farmers and retailers across the EMEA region. Prior to Driscoll’s Dorn spent 9 years with Chiquita bananas, including over 5 years leading operations in Costa Rica and Colombia.
